If you currently do not come under the Carbon Reduction Commitment legislation and you have been trading for a minimum of 12 months you should be eligible for funding under the Carbon Trust Energy Efficiency Loan Scheme which is funded by the government. This year there will be a figure of approximately £50 million pounds available to SMEs, through the Government and the Carbon Trust.

It is a case of first come first served so act now and make sure you get your funding.

Energy Saving Technologies such as Efficient Lighting, Solar Heating, Voltage Optimisation, Heat Pumps, Boiler Controls, Calorific Value Enhancement etc are funded on the basis of the reductions in Carbon Emissions that they will achieve, saving you money and saving the environment in which we all live.

You will get a calculation of the potential savings and subsequently outline funding available to you in a series of reports. This is later verified by a consultant appointed to examine your application at Carbon Trust.

British Utilities will provide an outline report and consultancy service completely free of charge to businesses who take this issue seriously.

How the funding Works

Carbon Trust (once they have approved the application) will provide the money paid directly into your business bank account. The funding is in the form of an interest free loan which is based on £1000 per .7 tons of carbon emissions saved (this may be revised from time to time) up to a maximum period of four years.

Please note that the repayments are based on the calculated amount of savings that you will save each month in terms of money.

This means that it actually costs you nothing to install the equipment because you would otherwise be giving that same money to your utility company year after year.

What you need to do:-
You need to give us your permission in terms of Authorisation to obtain details of you current utility supplies over the past 12 month period (if we do not already hold this information.)
